Turolla aluminium gear pumps are ideal for a wide range of applications for:
  • Small vehicles, such as aerial lifts, greens and fairway mowers and electric forklifts. These needs are served by the pumps in the SKP2NN range with integral valves and pressure balanced design for high efficiency, and extruded aluminum bodies for high strength.
  • Medium and large off-highway vehicles, like tractors, backhoe loaders, dumpers, and telescopic handlers, we offer the SNP2NN.
Many combinations of the pumps mentioned are available as multiple units made to fit any need. Turolla provides standard pumps for use in industrial applications, including power packs.

Pump design

Turolla high performance gear pumps are fixed displacement pumps which consist of the pump housing, drive gear, driven gear, DU bushings, rear cover and front flange, shaft seal and inner/outer seals. The pressure balanced design of the pumps provides high efficiency for the entire series.

The SNP2NN pump accommodates SAE 9-tooth and the SKP2NN is a special version of the SNP2NN. It is designed to accommodate an SAE 11T 16/32 DP tooth splined shaft for higher torque applications.

Hydraulic Projects launches a new product

Emergency Stop Inlet Option for Sectional Valves


The Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC 2nd Edition 1.2.3.4 states that "Machinery must be fitted with one or more emergency stop devices to enable actual or impending danger to be averted."  This Directive and regulations for specific industries are filtering through to hydraulic applications from fishing boat winches to car transporter ramps.

There are different ways of approaching this problem.  With hydraulically operated machines this often means extra pipework and an additional return connection.  Hydraulic Projects Ltd, the UK manufacturer of the Hy-Pro control valve ranges, has come up with a solution to minimise cost and reduce pipework - the emergency stop module.  An unloader valve has been incorporated into the inlet section of the modular Hy-Pro V4-40 (G3/8) and V5-60 (G1/2) valve ranges.  This solution has the advantage of a discreet manual override screw that will restore hydraulic power in the event of electrical failure.

Recently new regulations in the fishing boat industry have introduced an E Stop requirement for net and pot winches and forestry equipment is likely to follow suit.

P & R Hydraulics is an official distributor for Danfoss hydraulic products, of which the 157B4033 PVG32 PVEH Actuator 11/32V is one of our popular products.
This particular PVE module has a Hirschmann connector and passive fault monitoring.  We also stock and supply models with AMP connector and Deutsch connector, passive and active fault monitoring.
PVE = proportional valve electrical actuator.  The Danfoss PVE is built on more than 30 years experience of electrical valve control and is the perfect fit for their high performance proportional valves PVG32, PVG100 and PVG120.  The philosophy of electrohydraulic actuation, type PVE, is integration of electronics, sensors and actuators into a single unit that interfaces directly to the proportional valve body.
P&R Hydraulics supplies official Danfoss hydraulic products, including pumps, motors, valves, steering units, seal kits etc.  The PVEH Actuator (157B4033) can be supplied separately or as part of an assembled PVG32 valve.  P&R Hydraulics can custom build PVG32, PVG100 and PVG120 valves to customer’s specifications. We also perform repairs, tests and inspections of  hydraulic units in our in-house workshop.
